Temperature Cycling–Induced Degradation of Dynamic Mechanical Properties of CA Mortar in Slab Ballastless Track Systems

Temperature cycling (TC) induces degradation in the dynamic mechanical properties of Cement Asphalt (CA) mortar used in railway ballastless track systems. The moisture condition critically affects this degradation; dry mortar exhibits an increase in storage modulus and a decrease in loss factor, while water-saturated mortar shows the opposite tendency. The asphalt-to-cement (A/C) ratio significantly impacts the modulus growth rate and aging mechanisms. A viscoelastic constitutive model based on the fractional differential three-parameter solid model accurately fits the dynamic test curves under different TC conditions.
